More Grief About CMSs
Why? Why? Why?
Why everytime I look at a new client's website request, does it always try to dictate what tool or CMS I should use to build the website with? Shows how unfair life can be to a web developer sometimes. You don't see people going to the doctor with their own medicine bag do you? Well, I thought about it alot and I want you to tell me what you think.
Maybe it makes sense because you're doing the work for the person and getting paid to do it, but what if doing it their way will make the job 10 times harder? What then?
I think it would be much easier to go to your web design company with an open mind. Initially. Once you put things down on paper and agree to them, then I think you should stick to it. But if I have another job come accross that demands the use of Drupal, I think I'm gonna throw up.
My advice to you out there that want to get yourself or your business more exposure on the internet, please try talking to someone that has experience and can give you good suggestions before becomming stuck on one solution so quick.
Hopefully, NSEC will grow its user base and increase the number of people who will have the opportunity to actually bring their ideas to reality.
